Information for OSA Journal Authors

OSA welcomes submissions of research articles to its journals. Authors are encouraged to review the individual journal descriptions when choosing an appropriate publication for their submission (see Journal Descriptions).

Prepare your multimedia files, if any. (2) Review the OSA Copyright Transfer Form (PDF) and FAQ. Copyright Transfer is the first step in the online submission site. If you are not authorized to transfer copyright, please print the form for signature by an authorized agent and return to OSA. (3) Review the Publication Charges policy for information about mandatory fees (e.g. Optics Express fee, overlength charges, color charges). (4) Click below to enter the online submission system, complete the submission form, upload your manuscript with figures, and upload any multimedia files. Note: Authors who do not have an OSA account will be able to create one before beginning the submission process. Please do not create a new account if you have previous OSA activity.
