Abstract

When second-harmonic generation is realized in a passive cavity, self-pulsing occurs beyond a critical threshold. We analyze the vicinity of this threshold when the input field is amplitude modulated at twice the self-pushing frequency. We determine analytically the domain of stable synchronous response.
