Gray-scale response of multiple-quantum-well spatial light modulators

Abstract

The gray-scale response of spatial light modulators based on perpendicular-field photorefractive multiple quantum wells is studied. It is shown that the gray scale exhibits both linear and saturated regimes that are accessible by variation of the applied field and the gate time.
